Street Art Pantin

landmark

The brick walls of the former industrial warehouses in Pantin serve as a massive, rotating canvas for street artists from around the world. These buildings once housed the Magasins Généraux, the storage nerve center for the Paris port authority. In nineteen ninety-eight, graffiti artists began claiming the abandoned, decaying concrete. When the renovation of the site began, the developers decided to keep the artwork visible, integrating layers of aerosol paint into the new offices of the advertising agency BETC.
