Before you stands a four-thousand-square-meter concrete structure that holds a surprising past within its walls. Built in nineteen fifty-nine, this building originally served as the social and sports center for the employees of the Ferodo-Valeo factory. It was a space designed for leisure, featuring a canteen and gymnasium for workers to use after their shifts at the adjacent manufacturing plant. When the industry eventually moved away and the factory ceased operations in the early nineties, the building sat vacant, a silent remnant of the area's industrial era.
