Pozsonyi úti Református Egyházközség temploma

The Pozsonyi Road Reformed Church stands out for its tall, rectangular tower that reaches toward the Danube, topped with a plain metal cross. It was built in the mid nineteen thirties to serve the growing congregation in the neighborhood. During the final months of the second world war, the church basement became a sanctuary for hundreds of people. One of them was the Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who hid there while organizing his efforts to save lives from the city's wartime violence.
