Szent István Park

Szent István Park occupies a large, rectangular stretch of land right along the Danube in the thirteen district. It features wide, paved paths flanked by mature trees and meticulously kept flowerbeds that contrast with the nearby industrial history of the neighborhood. The park sits on ground that once held a complex of industrial factories and warehouses. After those structures were cleared in the thirties, city planners transformed the site into this open space to give local residents access to the riverfront.
