Ghalib Academy

The Ghalib Academy is defined by its simple, functional concrete facade, which houses a library, a museum, and a research center dedicated to the nineteenth-century poet Mirza Ghalib. Founded in nineteen sixty-nine, the building sits directly adjacent to the poet’s final resting place. The academy preserves handwritten manuscripts and personal effects, including his inkpot and calligraphy brushes. During the inaugural ceremony, President Zakir Hussain emphasized the collection as a way to bridge the gap between historical scholarship and the daily lives of local residents.
