Nabataean builders cut this structure directly into the sandstone cliff face during the first century. Unlike the city's more famous monuments, this tomb displays a blend of classical Greek architectural influence and local artistry. Workers spent months suspended on wooden scaffolding to carve the details, moving from the top of the cliff down to the ground level.
