Tomb of 'Unayshu

The Tomb of Unayshu features a facade carved directly into the rose-red sandstone, distinguished by three distinct tiers of columns and a central doorway topped by a decorative arch. Built in the first century, this burial site serves as the final resting place for a man named Unayshu, who held the powerful title of minister under the Nabataean King Malichus the Second. His name remains inscribed on the lintel, a rare survival of a named official from a society that left few written records.
