The tower of El Minaret rises above the nearby rooftops with a distinct, slender profile that mimics Moorish architecture. Built in nineteen oh eight by the physician Doctor Leandro Vicencio, the house served as a family residence that combined European luxury with local materials. Doctor Vicencio filled the home with imported marble and stained glass, while the tower provided a panoramic view of the city. Today, the building stands as a residence that retains its ornate, imported finishes from over a century ago.
