Filux Lab

museum

The Filux Lab occupies a classic colonial town house in the heart of Mérida. Thick limestone walls hide a narrow interior courtyard, now repurposed as a creative hub for light art. While the rest of the city focuses on traditional stone masonry, this building serves as the permanent home for the International Festival of Light. Its original mosaic tiles and wooden beams remain, but the darkened rooms are filled with electrical cables, sensors, and projection equipment used to craft immersive light installations.
