Olimpo Cultural Center

The Olimpo Cultural Center features a distinct neoclassical facade with six tall Ionic columns that distinguish it from the surrounding colonial buildings. Constructed in the late nineties, the center sits on the site of the former City Hall annex. Archaeologists discovered the remains of a Mayan structure underneath the foundation during the early excavation phases. Today, the space hosts an internal courtyard, an auditorium, and a planetarium, serving as a primary hub for municipal artistic events throughout the year.
