Ettedgui Synagogue

The Ettedgui Synagogue stands out with its pristine white facade and the distinctively arched, blue-framed windows that break the wall’s smooth surface. Built in the late nineteenth century, this building served as a central place of worship for the Jewish community of the Casablanca medina. During the nineteen forties, the synagogue suffered significant structural damage, and its doors remained closed for decades. In two thousand sixteen, King Mohammed the Sixth inaugurated its restoration, aiming to preserve the historic footprint of Morocco’s Jewish heritage.
