The Hotel Lincoln is a skeleton of reinforced concrete with a jagged, crumbling facade that dominates the street corner. Designed by Hubert Bride in nineteen sixteen, it was the first building in Casablanca to use this material for its entire structure. Wealthy travelers once lounged on its balconies, watching the city grow around them. After decades of abandonment, parts of the walls collapsed, leaving behind open voids that expose the interior floors to the sky and the street below.
