Hotel Royal St. Georges Interlaken - MGallery Collection

The Hotel Royal Saint Georges features a facade of pale stone and ornate wrought-iron balconies that stretch along the street. When it opened in nineteen oh eight, the hotel catered to the influx of wealthy travelers arriving by train to see the Jungfrau. Arthur Conan Doyle stayed here while recovering from health issues. He spent his days writing and reading on the terrace, becoming a fixture among the hotel staff before eventually departing to continue his work in the Bernese Oberland.
