The Fabrikkanal-Brücke in Unterseen spans the narrow canal with a distinct, riveted steel truss frame that sits low over the rushing water. This bridge replaced a wooden predecessor in nineteen twelve to support the growing transport needs of the local weaving mills. Workers once hurried across these steel plates every morning to reach the factories that used the canal water for power. Today, the metal structure remains as a working connection between the old town and the newer residential streets nearby.
