The Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit stands out with its tall, square bell tower capped by a sharp, pyramidal spire, covered in dark copper shingles that have weathered to a deep green. Built in nineteen oh eight, the church provided a dedicated space for the growing number of Catholic residents and tourists in this traditionally Reformed area. Architect August Hardegger designed it in a neo-Gothic style, incorporating local stone that grounds the slender building firmly against the backdrop of the surrounding Alpine slopes.
