Frej Apartmanı

The Frej Apartmanı sits at the corner of the busy intersection, clad in a distinct, pale stone that separates it from the neighboring brick facades. Built in nineteen oh six for Selim Hanna Frej, a wealthy Lebanese banker, the building served as a grand residence for his family. Its Art Nouveau design features elaborate floral carvings and copper domes that catch the afternoon light. Selim Frej lived here until his death, leaving behind a structure that captures the opulent taste of Istanbul’s late imperial era.
