Everyman Theatre

The Everyman Theatre features a facade of one hundred five movable metal sunshades, each laser-cut with the silhouettes of local people. This building replaced a former chapel that housed the theatre since nineteen sixty-four. When the company outgrew the old structure, they demolished it to create this current space, opening in twenty fourteen. During the construction, workers discovered the remains of over seventy bodies from the former graveyard beneath the site. Those remains were respectfully reinterred before the new stage took shape.
