Vyner Street

Vyner Street occupies a unique sliver of East London geography, running directly parallel to the Regent's Canal. This positioning is no accident. In the early nineteenth century, the street was known as John Street, and the buildings were constructed to capitalize on the canal's proximity for trade. Unlike many other canal-side locations, there is no towpath here, allowing warehouses to rise directly from the water's edge and providing owners with immediate, unobstructed access to the canal for loading and unloading goods.
