Coleridge Square

Coleridge Square sits on land that once served a very different purpose as the site of a nineteenth-century teachers college. The institution was founded by the Reverend Derwent Coleridge, who was the son of the famous Romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The college aimed to train educators to work with the masses, carrying forward a legacy of learning in a space that has since been entirely reimagined. The site was redeveloped in the early twenty-first century, transforming those former academic grounds into the secure, gated residential enclave you see today.
