Gasworks Gallery

Gasworks occupies a converted nineteenth century warehouse that was once a neglected, leaky structure, but it now stands as a primary hub for contemporary art. Before its renovation in two thousand twenty two, the building had become so derelict that hardy buddleia bushes were actually growing out of the rear wall. The organization secured its future by purchasing the building and transforming the improvised layout into a clean, light-filled space that doubled the size of the original exhibition area. Today, the gallery acts as a quiet, white-walled canvas designed to let the international art and community activity within the building take center stage.
