Pimlico Gardens

Pimlico Gardens occupies a narrow, rectangular strip of land that was once a muddy, marshy riverside boarding point for boats and steamships. In the nineteenth century, the famous master builder Thomas Cubitt transformed this entire district from swampy fields into an elegant grid of white stucco terraces. Originally, this particular patch of green served as the southern anchor for the nearby St George's Square, providing residents with direct, private access to the River Thames.
