Cell Project Space

Cell Project Space began as an experimental testing ground for artists in nineteen ninety-nine. Founders Milika Muritu and Richard Priestley established the gallery during a time of rapid economic change in East London. They built it as an artist-run platform designed to bypass the pressures of the commercial art market. You can find the entrance to this independent gallery tucked behind an industrial yard, often marked by a vibrant, sub-tropical garden that serves as a quiet contrast to the surrounding city streets.
