The Glacier Brewhouse features a massive, rough-hewn timber frame and a prominent fieldstone fireplace that dominates the interior. It opened in nineteen ninety-six, built by a group of Alaskans who wanted a gathering spot capable of withstanding the local winters. The founders dragged local spruce logs into the space to create the soaring, lodge-like ceiling. It remains the site where many city residents spend their Friday nights, crowded around long wooden tables while the brewery kettles churn just behind the glass.
