Fallon Building

The Fallon Building at eighteen hundred Market Street is a rare survivor of the nineteenth century that narrowly avoided total destruction. Built in eighteen ninety-four, it stands as a Queen Anne style landmark in a city that lost most of its similar structures to the great earthquake and fire of nineteen hundred and six. It marks a historic point where the flames were finally halted, leaving this building intact while everything to the east was consumed.
