McCoppin Hub Plaza sits on a piece of land that once functioned as a bustling streetcar junction. Over a century ago, this intersection was known as The Hub, a major transit nexus complete with its own cable car powerhouse and repair shops. Local workers and travelers even enjoyed a drink named Hub Punch in honor of the busy terminal.
