The Sunnyside Conservatory stands as a rare architectural outlier in this neighborhood. Built in 1902, this redwood structure features a distinctive two-story octagonal center that was designed to maximize sunlight for a private collection of exotic plants. It remains one of only a few Victorian-era octagon buildings left in all of San Francisco.
