It opened its doors in nineteen thirty-five, operating as a neighborhood tavern long before the surrounding area transformed through waves of gentrification. While other businesses changed names and concepts, the Raven remained a dark, wood-paneled anchor where generations of residents gathered for cheap beer and conversation. The interior lighting stays perpetually dim, preserved much like the local history itself.
