Croissant D'Or Patisserie

The Croissant D'Or Patisserie occupies a narrow, deep building on Ursulines Avenue with a distinctive blue and white tile entrance floor. Originally a nineteenth-century drugstore, the space still holds its original marble counters and ornate wood moldings. In the nineteen eighties, the current owners transformed the quiet storefront into an authentic French bakery. While the city outside fills with tourists, regulars duck inside for espresso and almond croissants, sitting beneath the high ceilings that have sheltered customers for over a hundred years.
