The front of dba is defined by two glass doors and a long, narrow strip of outdoor seating tucked beneath a simple wooden overhang. This venue opened on Frenchmen Street in two thousand, establishing a space focused entirely on live music and an extensive selection of bottled beer and whiskey. Musicians often play inside while neighbors and travelers mingle on the sidewalk. It remains one of the few places on the strip where the sound of brass or blues spills directly onto the pavement.
