Inside, the back room functions as a serious listening space where the audience sits in quiet rows rather than at noisy bar tables. George Brumat opened the venue in nineteen eighty-three after he moved his jazz record collection from a small shop nearby. Musicians prize the room for its acoustics, which were designed specifically to capture the clarity of a stand-up bass.
