The Bedford Building stands out with its intricate terracotta facade, featuring detailed relief work that wraps around the corner of the structure. Designed by the firm Winslow and Bigelow and completed in nineteen oh four, it originally served as the headquarters for the Bedford Manufacturing Company. While the textile industry eventually moved on, the building remains a distinct example of the ornamental commercial style popular in Boston at the turn of the twentieth century, retaining its decorative exterior details despite interior office renovations.
