Boston Massacre Site

A ring of cobblestones sits embedded in the traffic island right where State Street meets the Old State House. These stones mark the spot where British soldiers fired into a crowd of colonists on the night of March fifth, seventeen seventy. Crispus Attucks, a sailor of African and Native American descent, fell first among the five men who died that night. The incident fueled colonial anger against the crown, pulling the colonies closer to the revolution that followed just five years later.
