Arlington Street Church

The Arlington Street Church is defined by its exterior of white Portland stone and a steeple modeled after the churches of Christopher Wren in London. It was the first public building constructed in the newly filled Back Bay in eighteen sixty-one. When the congregation moved here from Federal Street, they brought along the original brass bell cast by Paul Revere and Sons. That bell still hangs in the belfry, ringing out across the street today.
