Plaza Hotel & Casino

other

The Plaza Hotel and Casino occupies the site of the original nineteen oh six Las Vegas train depot. Its tower rises at the western end of the Fremont Street Experience, distinguished by the massive, glass-enclosed bingo hall that juts out over the sidewalk. When the hotel opened as the Union Plaza in nineteen seventy-one, it became the only place in the country where passengers stepped off a train and directly into a casino. Bob Stupak once owned a piece of it.
