Canyon Road Contemporary Art occupies a low, thick-walled adobe structure that looks like a traditional Santa Fe home. Its smooth, earth-toned exterior blends into the street, marked only by a simple wooden sign. Before this became a gallery, the building served as a private residence for generations of families who shaped the neighborhood’s character. A painter named Willard Nash bought the property in the nineteen twenties, filling the small rooms with light and works that helped define early modernism in New Mexico.
