Santa Fe Depot Rail Runner Station

The Santa Fe Depot features a low-slung, tan adobe facade that stretches along the tracks, echoing the Pueblo Revival style common to the region. Built in nineteen oh nine by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, the station replaced earlier wooden structures to accommodate the growing number of visitors arriving by rail. In nineteen twenty-six, the Harvey House restaurant inside became a hub for travelers, where waitresses served meals with a precision that became famous across the American West.
