Bataan Memorial Building

The Bataan Memorial Building features a distinct facade of tan stucco and dark wood vigas, styled to match the traditional Pueblo Revival architecture of Santa Fe. Originally constructed in nineteen fifty-two, the building serves as a state office complex named to honor the survivors of the Bataan Death March. Inside, a heavy bronze plaque commemorates the soldiers of the two hundredth coastal artillery, many of whom were New Mexicans captured in the Philippines during the second world war.
