historic

The townhouse at 57 East 66th Street served as the final residence of the artist Andy Warhol. He purchased the property in 1974 for 310,000 dollars, taking advantage of a dip in the market at the time. While he was famous for allowing visitors into his workspace, he kept this home largely closed off, even from his closest friends.
