The Rosenbach

The Rosenbach is a pair of joined nineteenth century townhouses marked by an unassuming brick facade that hides a vault of literary treasures. It houses the personal collections of brothers A.S.W. and Philip Rosenbach, two rare book dealers who turned their home into a museum. Within these rooms sits the original manuscript of James Joyce’s Ulysses, filled with the author’s frantic handwritten revisions. The brothers spent decades buying and selling history, ultimately leaving their own private library and collections for the public to navigate.
