Eye's Gallery

other

The Eye's Gallery features a facade painted with vibrant, swirling patterns and eclectic folk art, signaling the transition from a traditional storefront to an immersive display of international crafts. Julia Zagar founded this space in nineteen sixty-eight to highlight the work of Latin American artisans who struggled to find a market for their handmade goods. She brought the aesthetic of Mexican folk traditions directly into the city, filling the shelves with textiles, ceramics, and masks that she sourced through her own travels.
