The Quay Quarter Tower stands out because of its rotating, stacked glass volumes that appear to shift as they climb toward the sky. Architects achieved this by keeping the core of the older nineteen-seventies building and wrapping it in a new frame. Instead of demolishing the original concrete structure, they grafted onto it, saving thousands of tons of carbon. When the sun hits the angled facades, the tower reflects the harbor light in patterns that change entirely depending on the hour.
