Cafélier occupies a narrow, three-story townhouse painted a distinct, deep ochre that stands out against the weathered facades of the Pelourinho district. It was once a private residence, but today it functions as a cafe and cultural space. The building features an iron-wrought balcony that overlooks the Bay of All Saints, where the writer Jorge Amado supposedly sat to observe the movement of ships. He famously preferred the view from this spot to the ones from his own nearby home.
