Jeanne d'Arc Court features a recessed entrance framed by a distinctive, oversized masonry archway that breaks the flat storefront rhythm of the street. This quiet passage served as the original headquarters for the Union Saint-Joseph du Canada, a fraternal society established by French-Canadian settlers in eighteen sixty-three. Members met in these upper rooms to manage mutual insurance funds and preserve their language. The heavy stone facade still carries the organization's name carved deep into the rock above the doorway.
