Tin House Court features a weathered, three-story wooden facade propped up against a brick wall. It originally belonged to a nineteenth-century tinsmith named Honoré Foisy, who decorated his shop with intricate metal ornaments and statues. When the building faced demolition in the nineteen seventies, the city salvaged the front wall. They mounted it here as a permanent piece of street art. The craftsmanship remains visible in the ornate tin cornices and the hand-painted detailing preserved from the original workshop.
