The wall of the Hôtel de la Plage features a trompe l’oeil mural depicting a bustling vintage street scene. It captures the arrival of a passenger train from the nineteen twenties, complete with passengers stepping onto the platform and suitcases piled high. This work is part of a larger project in Cannes to decorate blank building facades with cinematic tributes. The mural serves to blur the line between the painted commuters and the actual travelers currently walking through the Vieux Port area.
