The Médiathèque Noailles occupies a stone villa perched on the hillside of Cannes, distinguished by its wrap-around veranda and the mature palm trees rising above its wrought-iron gate. Originally built as the private residence of the Vicomte de Noailles, the structure served as a luxurious escape for the European aristocracy during the late nineteenth century. The city eventually acquired the estate to house its public collection, transforming the former ballroom into a quiet reading room where the original parquet floors remain intact.
