Orangery

The Orangery in the Jardins du Ranelagh features a long, curved glass facade framed by limestone columns. It served as the winter shelter for the exotic citrus trees belonging to the former Chateau de Boulainvilliers. When the estate was subdivided in the nineteenth century, developers leveled the chateau but spared this garden structure. It remains as a quiet survivor, converted into a public space where the gardeners now store their tools and maintain the park grounds throughout the year.
