Ancienne gare de Pont de Flandres

The stone facade of the former Pont de Flandre station features a series of high, arched windows and a steeply pitched roof that set it apart from the surrounding industrial landscape. Built in eighteen sixty-two, this station once served the Petite Ceinture, a circular railway line that moved passengers around the edges of Paris. In eighteen eighty-six, a station master named Monsieur Manceau reportedly kept a pet goat on the platform, which he used to clear the weeds between the tracks.
