Felix Potin built this facility in the late nineteenth century to serve as a massive food processing and distribution hub for his growing retail empire. Workers here churned out thousands of pounds of chocolate, pickles, and jams daily. Potin once famously hosted a contest for his staff, awarding a gold watch to the worker who could peel potatoes fastest.
