The mural titled Rejet covers a towering blind wall on a residential building in the twentieth arrondissement. It depicts a figure caught in a moment of visceral expulsion, with paint dripping and swirling to suggest the physical act of rejecting something deeply internalized. The artist, known as Vhils, created this image by carving directly into the plaster and concrete of the facade with a jackhammer. He stripped away layers of wall to reveal the raw, gray composition hidden beneath the surface.
